Alright, lets see. I think I've been 'round for a good time so I reckon I talk into this book and introduce myself. Kinda strange how light it is, seein' as all you folks are always chattin' and fillin' up pages. Never was a magic and technology cat myself.
Name's Jubei, a resident beastkin here now. If ya don't know what a beastkin is, well just take a good look at me! Imma cat, who can talk and walk, and I bet it don't surprise any of you good folk a bit. Don't worry, I don't bite. Maybe just scratch.

I gotta say, I'm impressed with the forests around here. It feels like ages since I've seen a proper one and it looks great! Thought about comin' back to the village at some point, but seems to be a lot of explorin' I still wanna do. Wonder what you folks do for fun around here. I know the situation is bad and the wings ain't very comfortable, but I'm sure a bunch of you picked up a hobby or somethin'. I may be an old cat, but even I can have fun.
By the way - are the talkin' animals common here? Had a talk with a deer and it seemed pretty friendly, even with it's crazy soundin' voice. Not much of a conversational partner; only talked about where to get some food and being afraid of getting hunted down. Could barely come close before he sprinted off! Well, some just aren't good for conversation.

Probably be around the mountains soon - I hear you got a shore here and it's been even longer since I've seen an ocean than when I last saw real forests.
